It is one of the major infrastructure projects, costing Rs5.49 billion now completed in 2018. According to the report, this project has four packages, one approach road from Kot Mithan to N55 and second approach N5 between Zahir and Chachran Sharif, on between N55 and N5 is Shahid Benazir Bhutto bridge over Indus River linking the two roads (N55 and N5).

In the year 2010, former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani had announced the construction of the bridge and the two link roads. According to that report bridge was to be completed in three years but after the change of government, the work was again halted and now completed in the year 2018.
The bridge is 1.2 km long with 12.2 m width. Approach roads including 14 km towards Zahirpur on N-5 and 16 km towards Mithankot and N-55 are also constructed.
