The Ministry of Religious Affairs extended the last date to submit Hajj requests under the government’s scheme.
The deadline, which ended on March 6 (Wednesday), was extended until Monday, March 11.
Government Is Extending the Last Date for Hajj Applications
A spokesman for the ministry confirmed that the vote to choose the happy pilgrims would also take place on March 11 instead of March 9.
Keep in mind that March 9 was a Saturday and that many banks were having a full vacation or staying open for many hours.
According to the spokesman for the ministry, the date has been extended to facilitate pilgrims, especially in areas affected by snowfall and flooding.
He said the ministry had received requests for such areas to extend the date because several people had difficulty submitting applications for various reasons.
Government Hajj Scheme applications can be submitted to 14 designated banks across the country.
This year, 184,210 Pakistanis will run the Hajj, and the Hajj 2019 plan will be organized by government and private operators.
